# SamePoints Full Context

SamePoints helps merchants operate a single loyalty program across Shopify and Square.

Core capabilities:
1) Real-time reward accrual when payments are confirmed.
2) Automatic points reversal on refund events.
3) Customer-claimed Shopify gift card rewards at configured thresholds (can disable for points-only programs). SamePoints can send a Reward available event to Shopify Flow; Flow can email marketing-subscribed customers a reminder.
4) Tenant-isolated records for customers, balances, and reward history.
5) One-click OAuth for Shopify (Partner app) and Square — no merchant webhook or API key setup.

Typical setup:
1) Create a SamePoints account.
2) Install from Shopify Admin and connect Square in Settings (one click each).
3) Configure loyalty rules (points per dollar, redeem threshold, gift card value).
4) Validate live events in Logs and enable the theme rewards launcher. Customers claim rewards there; SamePoints does not deliver marketing campaigns or emails.
